Accessibility

We want everyone in the Valley to be able to read the Bulletin, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or other assistive tools.

What we do

  • Pages use a clear heading structure and readable type with strong color contrast.
  • Images carry text descriptions where we can provide them.
  • Menus and buttons can be reached and operated with a keyboard.
  • Pages adapt to phones, tablets and large screens, and text can be enlarged in the browser.

Known limits

The site runs on a ready-made WordPress theme and some features may not meet every guideline. Images supplied by agencies may arrive without descriptions. We are working to close those gaps over time and we aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.

Tell us about a barrier

If you cannot use part of the site, email editor@thephoenixbulletin.com with the page address and a description of the problem. We will try to give you the information in another form or fix the issue, and we will respond within two working days.
