Grand Canyon seeks public input on North Rim recovery plans

Public involvement period opens for long term recovery and redevelopment concepts at Grand Canyon National Park's North Rim

The National Park Service is seeking public input on the long-term recovery and future of the North Rim at Grand Canyon National Park. A 30-day public involvement period commenced on October 6, 2026.

Community Engagement for Recovery Plans

This initiative follows the 2025 Dragon Bravo Fire and extensive recovery efforts undertaken in the past year. Recent flash floods have highlighted the need for resilient infrastructure, dependable utilities, public safety measures, emergency preparedness, and strategic long-term planning in this unique and challenging environment.
