U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground conducts major counter UAS test event

The U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground recently hosted the Falcon Peak 26.2 operational experimentation exercise, which took place for most of September. This event was conducted in support of U.S. Northern Command and Joint Task Force Southern Border.

Focus on Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems

Falcon Peak 26.2 aimed to evaluate counter-unmanned aircraft system (C-UAS) capabilities provided by various vendors. The exercise also led to the establishment of permanent C-UAS test and evaluation lanes at the proving ground. These lanes will facilitate ongoing collaboration among the Department of War, operational units, industry, commercial developers, and defense partners.
